Vile fans and police. Even worse than Birmingham.

First time there was the 1980 cup semi final replay. They bricked the train windows so our SIX hour journey home was drafty to say the least.

On my next visit I managed to get away from a heroic group of more than ten of them determined to rearrange my face.

Next visit had them throwing coins, some sharpened, from their end behind the goal at the West Ham fans in the stand next to them. When a man with kids drew this to the attention of the police about someone about to lose an eye he was told 'Fuck off you cockney cunt'

Other visits in the same vein.

16 years not long enough.

Leeds fans are mostly morons but I'm looking forward to seeing Bielsas team and style of football in the Premier League. Maybe he'll get a bit of money too. On the pitch they aren't dirty Leeds and I think they will surprise a few teams.
Not sure how Bielsa will get on with VAR though.

Re: Dirty Leeds back up after 16 years
I’ll bet they would have snatched your arm off if you’d have offered the same outcome as we had with Allardyce! Straight back up after a year and a great Wembley victory! 16 years? semi finals of champions league in 2001 wasn’t it?

Only time I ever went to Elland Rd was 2000.

We beat them at Elland Road in 2000 of so with Winterburn of all players grabbing the only goal. May have also been Rio's last match for us. From memory it was the first time we'd beaten Leeds away since the sixties (although we did win at Elland Road in the FA Cup semi final)

Used to have a bunch of aggressive fans back in the day. Bit like us I suppose but they seem to have held onto that 70s/80s "thing" more than most other clubs who have been "sanitised" or "prawn sandwiched" ( *** thx to BTM Brady" *** )

Automatic promotion is now out of Brentfords hands, they need their West London neighbours to do them a favour at West Brom.

It's amazing how many non Leeds people follow the cunts.
All stems back to the 70s when they were a top side.
Used to work with a few blokes who followed them without ever going there.
Hope they go straight back down horrible nasty club and fans.

Re: Dirty Leeds back up after 16 years
one thing I'll give them credit for, and it's back when they used to put us in that corner terrace, is they were the loudest home crowd I've heard at an away game

Re: Dirty Leeds back up after 16 years
Ron Greenwood was a Brentford fan as a boy, and also played more games for them than he did for anyone else. His only league goal was for them too.

Re: Dirty Leeds back up after 16 years
I’ve probably been to every Leeds away game we’ve had since 89. It’s a great stadium and noisy when there winning. They seem to be a bit of a bogey team for us and I can’t remember seeing us win against them, plenty of draws though. They like to think they will terrorise the prem, but the reality is they will probably have the life sucked out of them within 6 months.

I like Bielsa a lot.

Fascinating reading about his training methods and man management.
